NEW HOMEOWNERS-Be sure to apply for homestead and military Tax Credits by July 1 the application is available at the Assessors Office Commercial & Industrial Owners-Be sure to come in and sign up for the Business Property Tax Credit by July 1, 2019 for the 2019 assessment year. Applications have to be in the office by July 1st, not just postmarked by the deadline as some other property tax exemptions or credits allow. You will only have to sign up for this credit once unless the property is sold or new property is aquired you will have to sign up for the newly aquired property. However if the property is primarily used or intended for human habitation containing 3 or more seperate dwelling units on the property, the property is not eligible for the credit.
